Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ'S

How do I book?

Ok so you have looked through my website, decided I am the right photographer for you and you’re ready to go ahead and book. Amazing! Feel free to send me an email on hello@themotherhoodproject.co.uk or fill out one of the contact forms. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Our date is confirmed what now?

After we have your date confirmed with your deposit payed and contract signed we will schedule a zoom/FaceTime call. Here we can discuss the session’s finer details from the location and the outfits to the style and feel of the session. Following the call I will send over a questionnaire and set up a Pinterest board between us. This is where you can tell me and show me any must have shots or set ups. It will help me to get the very best out of our session. Finally I will send over my prep guide with everything you need to know and gather for our session.

What happens on the day?

My sessions are designed to be be fun and relaxed. Whether you are booking a family session or newborn I want to capture your most honest authentic you.

My sessions family are child led, where they go I will follow. I work with gentle prompts and engage with little ones through playing games.

How long until I get my gallery?

EEEEEEKKK I am so excited to show you your gallery and I am happy you are excited to see it. I usually send out or post previews online within a week and your full gallery will be ready to download within 2-3 weeks.

Will our outdoor session still go ahead if it rains?

I am always up for embracing the elements. I think wind and a moody sky can add some beautiful movement and feeling to a session. However, if it rains or hails we will rearrange for a date that works for both of us. I am always checking the weather on the run up to a session so I will be in touch if this is the case.

When is best to have a maternity session?

Maternity sessions are usually best around 32-36 weeks, when you are showing and glowing. It is best to book after your 20 week scan to ensure my availability.

How can I book a newborn session when I don’t know what date my baby will be born?

Newborn sessions are usually best with in the first two weeks after birth, when baby is all sleepy and cuddly. To book a newborn session so far in advance I take a deposit and pencil in the a date for you a week after your due date.

Then when you have had the baby and you feel well enough you can get in touch and we can set the date in stone. To ensure availability I can only take on so many newborn sessions a month so it is best to book just after your 20 week scan.

What should I wear?

Think neutral, earthy tones. Dress as though you are going out to dinner. Once your session is booked we can discuss this further during our zoom/FaceTime session. There is also lots of advice in my prep guide.

What if me or my child is sick?

If you, your child or anyone booked on the session is sick please let me know as soon as you can so we can re arrange the session. Equally if I am sick we will have to rearange.
